The art of drinking pays!

If you thought you had a great job then you obviously have not heard of Tomoko Takahashi AKA "Anti-cool." She is doing what most lushes can only dream about; by getting paid to get wasted in front of a crowd.  Tomoko is a Japanese artist that has been paid $11,800 to get plastered on stage. Now it may sound like all fun and games but this was a serious art exhibit in London. The person who decided that it was ok to spend $11,800 of tax payers money to put on the show felt that just getting plastered on stage was not enough. This is where they threw the low blow by making her walk across a beam to see how far she could get as she guzzled down more and more beer. Yes it is true they had "Anti-cool" on the ropes with the small salary of $11,800 for a three hour show, but amidst all this ciaos "Anti-cool" managed to keep her cool. In the end she was able to down 48 bottles of beer.

To the council member who said "The worrying thing is that people are making decisions to hand out taxpayers' money like this when they are sober." the arts centre spokesperson for the "performance" shot back: "This wasn't just about a woman drinking a lot of beer. This was a powerful piece of art." and how true this really is, our only wish was that Barbax Drink News could have covered the event live, it must have been truly magical! Cheers!
